This is for pet owners everywhere.

Our pets, besides our kids, are the things that give cuteness in our days. Whether they are dog, cat, or an iguana, they do not fail in keeping us company and giving us that sweetness overload. However, having pets is not something that comes easily. Aside from the foods, bath, and snuggle you need to provide to them, daily maintenance could be tiring such as cleaning the mess they leave in your hose.

If you have pets at home, you know so well that they do not just leave a mess, but they also stain and leave some odor on your floor. This becomes more inconvenient and difficult when you have a carpeted floor as the fabrics are very prone to keeping and locking away stains and odors. Well, the good news is you can always hire carpet cleaners London & Surrey to keep you away with the messy stains and pungent smell.

In this article, however, we will share with you three methods of cleaning maintenance of your carpeted floor.

Method 1: Schedule a Professional Cleaning

Other methods may be effective in removing surface dirt, but professional cleaning is able to remove even the bacteria, pathogens, as well as odor from your carpet in the most efficient way. They also make sure that your carpet is provided with careful handling to avoid causing damage.

Method 2: Use a Stain Remover from the Market

There are many cleaning solutions available in the market but it is necessary that you find a solution that is not harmful to your pets. While most of the cleaning agents you see are made of chemicals, there are some agents that are hazardous to pets and children.

All you need to do is to rinse the carpet, pour your cleaning solution, blot or scrub a little the area, and pat to dry. The key is not to use too much cleaning solution as it will leave some residue to your carpet, making the problem worse.

Method 3: Make Your Own DIY Cleaning Solution

This method can save you extra money, but it entirely depends on how you mix the ingredients and perform the cleaning.

Note: before you do some DIY, pour out a small amount to an area to make sure it does not discolor your carpet. Also do not scrub even if you are using organic ingredients as they can be acidic and damage your carpet

The following are the ingredients you can use:

  • Baking Soda – cover the area with vinegar and sprinkle some baking soda. Let is sit for a full 24 hours. After this, the baking soda will start to dry. Scoop the baking soda and rinse with water.
  • Hydrogen Peroxide – mix 4 tablespoon hydrogen peroxide and 2 tablespoons of water and some drop dish soap. Spray, blot, and rinse.
  • Dishwashing Detergent – mix a quarter teaspoon detergent and a cup of warm water. Spray on the affected area and pet to dry.

Here, we gave you the three effective methods of removing stains and odor in your house. don’t forget to follow all the things we shared and you will say goodbye to stains and smell.
